Laura mccord Aronne

company member

Laura’s passion for classical theater led her to pursue a masters degree in professional acting at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. While rigorously studying a variety of acting techniques, she also studied voice movement and stage combat. Following graduate school, Laura lived in New York for ten years. Just a few of her proudest moments while there, are Masha in Three Sisters at The Conelly, Gertrude in Hamlet at The Center Stage, and Nurse Ratchet in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at The Flatiron Theater. Laura returned to perform at ASF many times over the years. Some of her favorite parts are, Ursula in Much Ado About Nothing, Witch in MacBeth, Rosaline in Love's Labour's Lost, Foible in Way of the World, and Nerissa in Merchant of Venice. Laura moved to Long Beach 16 years ago, and lives there with her husband, Massimo, and their daughter, Bella Aronne. Laura adores children, and has over the years taught theater and conducted storytelling, dance, and acting workshops. She currently moonlights as a private coach. She is thrilled to be dipping her toes back into acting waters, and is over the moon to be working with Jim Landis and the entire cast and crew at the Harvest Theater Company.
